Steven M. Sieraski, DDS, MS
Dr. Sieraski was born and raised in northern California. He attended Cabrillo College (Associates of Arts degree with highest honors), then transferred to UCLA. Early acceptance to Loyola University of Chicago, School of Dentistry brought Dr. Sieraski to the midwest. During dental school he developed a special interest in endodontics and teaching. He was a teaching assistant in Human Anatomy and Endodontics courses. He graduated 3rd in a class of 123 from Loyola U. of Chicago, School of Dentistry in 1981.
Dr. Sieraski continued his endodontic education at the University of Michigan, School of Dentistry. He attended a three year graduate program in endodontics which combined an endodontics teaching position. His master’s thesis researched the process of bony healing after surgical endodontics. This research was published in the Journal of Endodontics and a prominent Endodontic textbook, Endodontology. Dr. Sieraski received a Master of Science degree in Endodontics in 1984. Dr. Sieraski then passed endodontist specialty licensure examinations for Michigan and Illinois.
Dr. Sieraski returned to Illinois as an Assistant Professor in Endodontics at Loyola University of Chicago, School of Dentistry. He taught dental students all aspects of clinical endodontics. He coauthored a chapter on Endodontic diagnosis and disease in an authoritative textbook, Endodontic Therapy. He was also in private practice as an endodontist in Palos Heights, IL. In 1988 Dr. Sieraski took national tests and became a Board Certified Endodontist (Diplomate, American Board of Endodontics).
In 1990 Dr. Sieraski moved to Bloomington IL to practice endodontics. He was the President of the Illinois Association of Endodontists in 1995. He has enjoyed bringing the latest technologies into our practice (microscopes, cone beam CT 3-D imaging, digital radiographs, microirrigation systems, bioceramic sealer, ultrasonic instruments). He has provided more Endodontic services to the people of McLean County than anyone else.
